Using a GPS tracking software to see exactly where we traveled each day. Here it is overlayed onto Google Earth. We explored the town and took the bus to the airport.

Exploring Hanga Roa, the harbor

We gave this dog some treats and he hung out with us for most of our walk

On Saturday, August 5, 2017, it marked a historic milestone for the Maritime Governorate of Hanga Roa, until Easter Island welcomed "Vector", a dog of Belgian Shepherd Malinois of 1 year old, and became the first dog destined to support the Work of the Maritime Police in the fight against drug trafficking in ships and yachts arriving at Easter Island from some port of the country or abroad, mainly from French Polynesia.

Lepidodactylus lugubris, also known as the mourning gecko or common smooth-scaled gecko, is a species of gecko. This small (10.5 cm total length), nocturnal gecko feeds on small insects and flower nectar. This species is notable because it is parthenogenic, and there are no remaining males that have been found. Females engage in pseudocopulation, stimulating both to produce viable eggs. These eggs are adhered to surfaces in protected locations. Most clutches consist of two eggs, and clutches are laid two to three weeks apart.

Getting on the bus to the airport

Security here was a JOKE. They x-rayed your checked bags then you came back past people that had not x-rayed yet. So, it would be easy to walk or had something across the line.
